50/50 Draw for February takes place on the last Friday of the month, Feb. 24th You can get your February entry through our normal channels, by following the Clubforce link https://member.clubforce.com/memberships_cart_m.asp?LL_ID=2767&intMF_ID=7833#Anchor. Membership at a recent club meeting the following rates were agreed on: Juvenile €25, Juvenile Family €50, Adult €30 and Cairde €120. Registration is now taking place and to kickstart the process, there will be a draw for free membership for any member who registers before Fri 24th. You could be lucky! Link for membership is

U7’s Well done to our U7 team who enjoyed their DKIT Blitz last Saturday organised by Oisin MacManus RDHO. They played matches against Newry, Clonduff, Warrenpoint and Knockbridge. A great start to the year. U7’s continue training this Wednesday 6-7pm in Castleblayney College gym.

Any child born 2016 and 2017 looking to join our U7s can contact David 0862517407 for further details.

 U9’s start their season with their DKIT Blitz this Saturday from 12-2pm.

Dates for future blitzes are as follows:

U9 – 18th Feb 12-2pm

U11 – 25th Feb 12-2pm

U7 – 11th Mar 12-2pm

U9 – 18th Mar 12-2pm

U11 – 25th Mar 12-2pm

U11’s Hurling training resumes on Monday 13th February in Castleblayney College gym from 7.30 – 8.30pm. €2 per child to cover cost of hall. Child to bring own hurl, helmet and water bottle.

U-13 U13 Training resumes on Wednesday 15th Feb in the Boys School Astro turf from 6-30 to 7-30. We have entered an Ulster GAA indoor hurling blitz in Meadowbank Arena, Magherafelt on Saturday 4th March. More details to follow.

U15’s will recommence training from 6.30 to 7.30pm next Monday 20th Feb at the Boys School Astro turf.

Castleblayney College Hurling Well done to our club hurlers who competed in the Ulster Schools U16.5 Noone Cup for Castleblayney College at Sean Treacy’s pitch in Lurgan. They played St. Michael’s Castlewellan, St. Paul’s Bessbrook and St. Ronan’s Lurgan.  Also, to our U14.5 players who played against St. Clare’s Ballyjamesduff in a challenge in advance of their Ulster Schools competition.

Monaghan Hurlers had an impressive win over Armagh at the weekend giving Monaghan full points from their two games and top of the table. Well done to the Blayney contingent who made a solid contribution and also to the management. Next up is a local derby, meeting Louth in Inniskeen on Sunday 26th Feb.

Garda vetting: Castleblayney Hurling Club is committed to the welfare and protection of all our members. As part of this commitment the club requires all coaches, training assistants and volunteers who are associated with our underage teams to comply with the legal requirement to have Garda vetting.
