Dessie Reilly member of the winning 1997 All Ireland Junior Hurling Championship
A blast from the past at the weekend of 15th July 2023, when former player, Dessie Reilly dropped into Blayney at the weekend, all the way from Austria. Dessie was on the winning All Ireland Junior Hurling team of 1997 and for obvious reasons wasn’t around when Monaghan GAA presented commemorative plaques to members of the team at their Awards night last Autumn. But Blayney Hurling did it in style and rolled out Noel McGuigan, Jarlath Denny & Hugh Cullen to make the presentation to Dessie! Congratulations Dessie and safe travelling home.
