As part of this commitment the club requires all coaches, training assistants and volunteers who are associated with our underage teams to comply with the legal requirement to have Garda vetting. Summer camp Exciting news for all our young hurlers out there with the details of the Hurling summer camp being announced, starting Monday 10th July to Wednesday 12th July, 9.30 – 12.30pm. Details are as follows: Registered 1 child €35, siblings €25, unregistered child €50, siblings €40. Free Draw for summer camp registration will take place for all those registered for the camp before May 28th. This will take place in conjunction with the Breakfast Morning and the 50/50 draw on Sunday 28th May in Iontas. So get your name down for the camp, it could be your lucky day.

Referees we are actively encouraging people who have played the game to consider taking up the referee mantle. Without referees our games cannot go ahead, it is a way of giving back to the game and indeed in staying involved with the GAA family. If you would consider taking up the challenge, contact any committee member who will ensure that you are trained and supported all the way. Give it a go!

Best of Luck to the management and team of the County U-17’s for their Celtic Challenge Final taking place in Abbottstown on Sun 28th when they meet Wicklow Blue at 1pm. Big shout out to our club representatives, Tim McArdle, David Lambe, Brion Sherry, Ben McDonnell, Eoin Dignam &Ryan Callan.

Monaghan Go Games Our U7’s and U9’s attended their 2nd Monaghan Go Games Blitz at Truagh on Sun 21st May. A big well done to our teams who played 3 games, the matches are really bringing them on. Thanks to parents for driving and Truagh HC for hosting.

County Hurlers & management are extended congratulations on their win against Longford last Saturday which secures top of the table status for them and a meeting with Lancashire in the Lory Meagher Final in Croke Park on Saturday 3rd June at 1pm.

Monaghan U15 Hurlers – Hibernia Cup well done to our club representatives, Conaire Casey, Tom Duffy, Christian Traynor, Liam Bolger & Cathal Malone on the U15 Monaghan team who overcame Fermanagh last Saturday in the 2nd round of the Hibernia Cup.

Well done to our club representatives on the Castleblayney College U14.5 hurling team who won 2 out of 3 games on Monday at Eglish in their Ulster Schools competition. They defeated St. Joseph’s Donaghmore and St. Benedict’s Randalstown and had a narrow defeat to St. Malachy’s Castlewellan.

Ulster Hurling Roadshow is organised for Saturday 10th June in Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghy. The Roadshow will run from 10am to 2pm with three practical sessions focusing on 1. Developing Goalkeepers 2. The Hurling Manager 3. Running a coaching session, all sessions being facilitated by top coaches.
