Baby Congratulations to Eimear & Paddy Collins on the birth of their wee boy, Caolán Patrick. Great news for the club, another wee Blayney Hurler! Delighted for you all!
All Ireland Senior Hurling Club Champions are Na Fianna Club in Dublin. There was great local interest in this game as their star forward, Tom Brennan has his roots in Castleblayney. Tom’s parents are Kieran Brennan & Fionnuala McHugh; his father, Kieran played with the club, his grandfather, Joe Brennan was a great Hurling Club stalwart & both families have very strong connections with the club. Tom did himself & his family proud on Sunday, scoring 2.01,he didn’t lick it off the stones! Huge congratulations to Tom & both families, enjoy the celebrations.
Condolences to Ann Lambe & family, Toome, on the death of Anne’s father, Frank Hughes, Ballinode Monaghan who passed away on New Years Day. Frank was grandfather of Stephen & Alan Lambe who played with the club. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
