Castleblayney Hurling Club Notes 4th Nov 2024
Huge well done to our Senior team & management on their win in the Ulster Club Intermediate Hurling Championship Q/F which took place on Saturday last in the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, Armagh overcoming Armagh Champions, Middletown. They have now booked a semi-final spot for themselves on the weekend of 16/17th Nov v Carey Faughs, the Antrim Champions. The lads were leading for all of the 1st half & indeed well in to the 2nd half but despite a Middletown onslaught, Blayney came out on the winning side, with Niall Garland scoring the winning free in injury time. Great courage & character shown, the heads never fell. Onwards we march!
