Castleblayney Hurling Club Notes 14th Oct 2024
U16 County Champions Huge congratulations to our U16 team & management who completed the double by winning the A.M Sports U16 Championship on Sun 13th defeating Carrickmacross on a scoreline of 3.06 to 1.05. Both teams found it difficult to get their first score on the board, with several chances squandered but it was Blayney who finished the half the stronger on a scoreline of Blayney 2.01 Carrick 0.03. Into the 2nd half, Blayney got a grip on the game & started to take their chances. There were some fine individual performances around the field but overall it was a good team response from Blayney. Thanks to Carrick for a sporting game. Once again well done to our lads & management.
