Castleblayney Hurling Club Notes 23rd Sept 2024

Senior Hurling Champions Huge congratulations to our Senior team & management on being crowned County champions yesterday after defeating Inniskeen, last year’s champions. Blayney were out to avenge last year’s defeat & did it in style. Congrats to Niall Garland who was awarded Man of the Match, hitting 11 points. Captain, Paddy Finnegan accepted the Mick Quigley Cup & after thanking the team, management, sponsors, supporters & the committee, in an emotional speech, he dedicated the win to his recently deceased Mum, Noeleen, a lifelong supporter of the club, to a resounding applause. Congratulations, once again, to all.

Fan Wall thank you to all those supporters who submitted photos of themselves and/or their pets for the fan wall. It adds to the fun & excitement of the build-up & is much appreciated by everyone in the club.

Thanks to Inniskeen Grattans GAA for bringing their juveniles along.

Thanks to Glenn Murphy Photography for all the photos of the Senior team and the juveniles on County Final day.
