Castleblayney Hurling Club Notes 1st July 2024
Summer Camp Countdown is on for our annual Summer Camp which takes place next Monday 8th to Wednesday 10th July, 10am -12.30pm each day in St Mary’s Park. The rates are as follows: club members, child 1 €35, Child 2 €30, Child 3 €25; non club members Child 1 €50, Child 2 €40. The camp is suitable for boys & girls aged 5-13 years old. There are a limited number of places available.
Registration forms are available at training or alternatively, you can download & print from the club website. The registration form and money need to be returned to your coach at training in an envelope with the child’s name displayed. 50/50 Draw took place last Friday, 29th June, with Brenda Quinn scooping a pot of €435 for herself. Well done Brenda, enjoy spending it! U16’s Mondays are Táin Óg Matches, training on Wednesdays 7-8pm Juvenile Pitch, St Mary’s.

U8/U10 Blitz took place in Latton on Sunday. Well done to our U8s and U10s who enjoyed a great morning of hurling, showing great skill and determination. They played 3 games against the hosts, Clontibret and Truagh. Thanks to Latton for organising and providing refreshments afterwards
Baby Congratulations go to Bernard Connor & Leona on the birth of their baby girl, Mia, a sister for juvenile players, Gerard & Grace. Mia has already shown her true colours, attending her first match, supporting her Dad playing against St Fechin’s. Big welcome for Baby Mia & many long & happy days to all the family.
Condolences to the Connor family, Henry Street on the death of Bridgie who passed away at the the weekend. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dilís.
Muckno Mania takes place next weekend 5th July & the club has been invited to walk in the upcoming Muckno Mania Parade. Our club players and members are welcome and can bring their hurl and wear their club colours. Assemble at Our Lady’s Secondary School at 6.30pm on Fri 5th July, Parade starts at 7pm.
