Best of luck to the County Minors & their management in the Celtic Challenge Final which is taking place in Crossmaglen on Saturday, 1pm where they meet Louth. Big shout out to our club representatives Caimin O’Brien, Tim McArdle, Tom Duffy, Eoghan Dignam, Ryan Callan, Cathal Malone, Eoghan McGroder & Nathan Smyth; give it your all lads.
Commiserations to Monaghan U20’s, who acquitted themselves very well against Leitrim in the All Ireland C Final in Kingspan Breffni last Saturday. In a thrilling encounter, the teams could not be separated after extra time & with the game going to penalties, Leitrim emerged the winners. Well done to our club representatives, Michael Meegan, Brion Sherry, Fionn Mulholland, Thomas Hughes, to their teammates & to the management squad of Tony, Patrick & Conor for their Trojan efforts. Great foundations to build on.
Safe travels to one of our former players & loyal supporter, Davy Bolger who together with his wife, returns to New York this week. We were all delighted to catch up with Davy, who is always interested in all things, GAA. Best wishes folks, see you soon again.
Congratulations to two of our hurlers, Nathan McArdle & Fionn Mulholland who received prestigious awards in Castleblayney College at their awards ceremony recently. Indeed in this season of prize-giving, we congratulate & say well done to all our players who are being recognized for their achievements, on & off the pitch. You are all winners!
