Ulster Champions the club were crowned Ulster Club Junior Hurling Champions yesterday in Dungannon on a score line of Blayney 2-16 St Eunan’s Letterkenny 1-15. In a tough hard-fought battle every man played their part to get over the line. Huge congratulations to Kevin, Eddie, Paddy & Matty, their backroom team, club secretary, Sheila & all associated with the team, but especially to the lads themselves. It takes drive, commitment, hard work, discipline & sacrifice to compete at this level & these lads were not found wanting. A huge bualadh bos for them all! Next stop is London on the weekend of 2nd/3rd December.
Supporters deserve a mention of their own. Huge thanks to all our friends, families and supporters who travelled to Dungannon on Sunday. You registered your presence and made your voice heard and it certainly mattered to the team. We really appreciate your support.
Sponsorship Needed as mentioned above, the Senior Hurlers travel to London to play their quarter final on the weekend of 1st/2nd December. It will cost the club in the region of €13000 to finance this trip. We are seeking sponsorship of €100 from businesses to help defray the cost. If you would like to donate or know someone who would, please get in touch with any committee member. As always your support is greatly appreciated.
AGM is scheduled to take place on Fri 24th November in The Ash Room at 8pm. To nominate a person of your choice for a committee position or to submit a motion to the meeting, go to the club website, castleblayneyhurling.gaa.ie where you can download the relevant forms and submit to club secretary, Sheila Forde, secretary.castleblayneyhurling.monaghan@gaa.ie.
