Ulster Junior Play Off takes place on Sunday 8th October when the Seniors play Truagh for a place in the Ulster Junior competition. Venue is yet to be confirmed, with throw in time of 4pm. All support welcome.

U-13 Champions Big Buladh bos for our U-13’s, captained by Daithí McCarthy, coming away with the silverware on Sunday in the cup Final Replay, beating Inniskeen on a scoreline of 4-06 to 1-07. Thanks to the coaches who worked hard all season & the parents for their help and support. Thanks to Inniskeen for a great game. A big thank you to Eamonn Mallie for sponsoring the U-13’s with food at Watters after the win, all support is greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to committee member & former Children’s Officer of the club, Mrs Mary Mc
Ardle on her appointment as Principal of Castleblayney College. Mary brings huge energy and enthusiasm to anything she does and no doubt the College will flourish under her stewardship. Wishing you the very best, Mary, onwards & upwards.

Dates for your Diary

Clothing Collection, Saturday 7th October: is being organised by the club this Saturday 7th October with bagged items being dropped off at the dressing rooms at Concra pitch, Dundalk Road between 10am and 4pm. Accepted items include clothing, paired shoes, bags, hats, scarves, ties, curtains, bed linen. Unacceptable items: no dirty/wet clothing, no carpets or mats, no pillows or duvets, no material cut-off. All monies raised go to the club, a great way to recycle any of these items!

Curry Evening 13th October in Iontas from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Treat yourself and come out and support the club. Always appreciated. Thanks to our sponsors, committee members and club volunteers, without their support, we wouldn’t be able to run fundraising events like this one.

Breaking news….Castleblayney Hurling Club Summer Camp July 8th – 10th 2024.

Congratulations to our former senior player, manager & chairman, Declan Connolly and his bride Gillian who tied the knot in Gorey over the weekend. Many happy days folks.

Get well wishes to Nathan Smith who is recovering from having his tonsils removed, hope you’re feeling better soon Nathan.
