Summer camp got off to a great start on Monday and although there was some rain in the morning this did not dampen the enthusiasm of more than 100 young hurlers. There was lots of fun and games for everybody with plenty of skills being passed on too by our coaches, who were led by Niall Garland & Peter Treanor. We are very grateful to Raymond Watters of Watters Maxol & Londis Castleblayney for his generous sponsorship.
Referees we are actively encouraging people who have played the game to consider taking up the referee mantle. Without referees our games cannot go ahead, it is a way of giving back to the game and indeed in staying involved with the GAA family. If you would consider taking up the challenge, contact any committee member who will ensure that you are trained and supported all the way. Give it a go!
Get well wishes to Juvenile player, Donnchadh Sheehan, wishing you a quick recovery from injury.
Best of Luck to the Monaghan team in their All Ireland semi final against Dublin on Saturday.
