Lory Meagher Final 2023
Monaghan 3.22 Lancashire 3.20 Croke Park Saturday 3rd June 2023
History was made in Croke Park on Saturday 3rd June when Monaghan were crowned Lory Meagher All Ireland Champions overcoming Lancashire in an exciting, nail-biting contest. The game ebbed and flowed and certainly was not for the faint-hearted. The Monaghan lads hurled like warriors and driven by their great hunger, they showed true determination to capture the prize.
We are very proud of the team and management but special mention of our clubmen, who along with the entire team, have shown commitment, dedication and resilience on the path to the final. Huge congratulations to the following : Niall Garland (Joint Captain), Aaron Kenny, Hugh Byrne, Conall McHugh, Fergal Rafter, Thomas Hughes, Declan Hughes, Pauric Malone, Paudie Heavin, Colin Merrick, Paddy Finnegan, Cormac McNally & Stephen Lambe & also to our club representatives on the management, Jimmy Lacey & Deaglan Crowe.
In the run up to the game, many of our underage teams and supporters got into the vibe and wanted to show their support for the team, especially for the Blayney Hurling contingent.
