Membership:
For any members still to register their 2022 membership, we would kindly ask that you do so through our Clubforce account here.
Senior Hurling Championship Final takes place on Sun 28th August at 3.30pm and sees us take on Carrickmacross, venue yet to be confirmed. Put this date in your diary and come out and support the lads, in the meantime get your club colours up and flying to show your support ahead of the game.
Training:
U7/U9’s training this week as usual on Wednesday 6-7pm.
U-11’s training in Concra this Tuesday 7 – 8pm.
U-13’s training Friday evening 6.30 – 7.30 in Concra.
Games:
U7’s/U9’s the club hosted the Monaghan Go Games blitz last Sun 14th in St Mary’s Park with teams from Clontibret, Latton, Truagh, Monaghan Harps and Inniskeen. Each of our teams got 3 matches in hot conditions so well done to the boys and girls. Thanks to Castleblayney Faughs for facilitating the blitz.
U-11’s have a match this Sunday against Cootehill in Concra at 11am. Come out and support the lads as they try to keep their unbeaten run alive…they are going for six games unbeaten!!
U-13’s defeated Monaghan Harps on Monday night in the last round of the league. They will now play Carrickmacross in the league final next Monday night. Venue and time to be confirmed.
Street Collection The club will be holding a street collection on Saturday 20th August. If you see any of us around, please support, it is much appreciated.
New Arrival Congratulations to Eimear and Paddy Collins on the birth of their little boy, a goalkeeper in the making!
Garda vetting: Castleblayney Hurling Club is committed to the welfare and protection of all our members. As part of this commitment the club requires all coaches, training assistants and volunteers who are associated with our underage teams to comply with the legal requirement to have Garda vetting. Sympathy is extended to Sheena Meegan and family on the passing of her dad, Patsy Ward, RIP, Lisdoonan on 27th July. Patsy is grandfather of juvenile players, Thomas, Michael & Seán Meegan. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
